I am a firm believer that everyone is their own expert. Â
While we may be the expert, experts still need guidance and support. When we know better we can do better.Â
I believe that each person is equipped with the tools needed to make change and promote growth and healing. My role as a therapist is to help my client navigate the path they choose to achieve the growth, healing and change they are hoping to experience. I like to walk with my client through their healing journey as they begin to learn new truths about themselves and master the skills that will help to improve their relationships with both themselves and with others. I am humbled by the trust my clients experience with me as we collectively facilitate their journey to unfold.Â
My ideal client is someone that is willing to look into themselves, their behaviors, choices and decisions, and then face difficult truths about themselves in order to heal, grow and foster change. Â
I specialize in treatment of various manifestations of trauma. My preferred age range is 14 and older; male and female. I have extensive experience working with disruptive disorders (ODD, Conduct, etc.), depression, anxiety, self-harm, substance use, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder and schizoaffective disorder.Â
Client centered, or person-centered, is my individualized approach with clients. I also use a variety of treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT. I have been trained in EMDR and can use this to further support a client managing symptoms of trauma.
